Miguel B. Duarte is an Assistant Professor at the School of Architecture, Art and Design, University of Minho, and a researcher at Lab2PT (Landscape, Heritage and Territory Laboratory), where he coordinates the DeTech research group. He holds a degree in Communication Design and a PhD in Fine Arts, specializing in Drawing, and is currently undertaking postdoctoral research in Media Arts. Since 2018, his artistic and research practice has focused on Walking Art through the experimental laboratory The Walking Body (walk.lab2pt.net). He co-organized the Drifting Bodies Fluent Spaces conference (2020) and is partner and researcher of WALC (Walking Arts & Local Communities), establishing an International Centre for Walking Arts.
